Do, what you really want to do – because you marry only once in your life. This sentence is (at least) two hundred percent true to Ines and Witek, who really were themselves on their big day and had tons of fun.
My day started in the morning with Witek and his boys in Mainz : beer, Champagne and a really good mood. Just as good as a wedding can begin and the timing has a great fit as well. I’m often asked, how I can be with the bride and groom at the same time. Simple answer: not at all – but boys are undressed much faster again and a shirt is definitely more comfortable to wear as a wedding dress. Accordingly, I am often first with the boys and afterwards I go for the girls and be with them for way longer. That also happened with Ines and Witek. Ines started at the hairdresser “Anne and Timo” in downtown Mainz, before we drove to the church marriages under the beautiful trees at Kloster Mühlenhof in Hahnheim.
This was also something new to me: a church wedding without a church – even, if I photographed more than 40 free wedding ceremonies which I photographed. So who plays with the idea, to get married Protestant, but doesn’t want to do that in a church – this is the way I can highly recommend. Especially in this particular case. Ines aunt is a pastor and did an insanely personally presented and really emotional ceremony for the both of them. In my opinion outdoor ceremonies are literally made for photographers. Here I can move much more openly and I can be even less perceived as in a church.
After the ceremony there was another big surprise for Ines: horses! She always had dreamed, of having horses on her wedding and this desire was luckily fulfilled. Ines and Witek just had fun at their wedding in Kloster Mühlenhof – and so next we went onto the trampoline’s. For no reason besides having fun – and that’s a good reason, isn’t it?
For the evening event they provided the nearby barn. There were alongside the variety of speeches, delicious food and there program, an exuberant celebration. And so another marriage for me comes to an end!
