What a firework! And that in the truest sense of the word! But let’s start from the beginning with these wedding photos from the beautiful Pfalz.
Getting Ready with wedding photographer in Altrip
I arrived as a wedding photographer in the early morning at the Getting Ready at Hotel Darstein. Sina became the bride of the day. And I enjoyed as always this mixture of unique peace and relaxation together with the ultimate excitement and joy that only the preparations of a wedding brings. It’s a feeling all its own and very special to me as a wedding photographer. In addition, I always like to use this time to adjust to the wedding day and the guests, but most importantly, the bride (and ideally the groom) also has the opportunity to get used to the fact that a wedding photographer will be with them throughout the day during the very special time when I am already taking photos and capturing emotions at the wedding’s getting ready. Few of us are so prominent that a photographer follows them wherever they go all day, right? Sure, as a wedding photographer I like to stay in the background and try to give the wedding couple small islands of peace and retreat briefly (even I as a professional for wedding photos need a break sometimes), but it is still unusual for the wedding couple that I am with the camera almost all the time at the start. But that is exactly what makes the job as a wedding photographer so exciting and wonderful for me: I get to dive in for the wedding day, get lost in the crowd, and still get up close and personal. I get to empathize, feel and capture. I keep saying it: being a wedding photographer is the best job ever for me. It’s no wonder that I decided at 16 years that I wanted to go down this path (Read more at the page where I tell about myself as a person 😉).
Church wedding in Pfalz
On this day as a wedding photographer at the wedding at Hotel Darstein in Pfalz, after the photos of the Getting Ready, it was off to the church. The wedding couple had chosen a religious wedding ceremony. And also for me as a wedding photographer in Altrip, the Herz Jesu church was just really beautiful. Much brighter than many other churches 😀 And above all: Cool!
Please always remember, a summer wedding can be very hot. Climate change doesn’t stop at weddings, unfortunately. So please take precautions for you and your guests. And, when in doubt, pick indoor venues that are air conditioned. Or, like here, when I documented the wedding of Sina and Kevin in Altrip, a cool church. Your guests (and me as a wedding photographer!!) will thank you. And so will the photos of the wedding. Because where no overheated, sweaty and strained people are, I can not photograph them as a wedding photographer.
Wedding reception at the Darstein Hotel in the Pfalz region of Germany
After the champagne reception at Hotel Darstein in Pfalz, which of course I didn’t skip as a wedding photographer, even though I don’t drink alcohol at all, there were beautiful speeches by the guests and the wedding couple, or rather the bride and her mother really excited me because there was a mother-daughter dance. I love those little gestures that make a wedding day so special. Of course, this is especially true because as a wedding photographer, I want to capture the emotions. And there are so much more with such personal stories than with the “standard program”. Therefore, as almost always my appeal is: Just marry as you are!
Evening events with wedding photographer in Altrip
Then your wedding is just as a blast as the wedding of Sina and Kevin at the Hotel Darstein in Pfalz, which I was allowed to document as a wedding photographer. In the truest sense of the word, because: There were emotional fireworks and there were real fireworks! Yeah!
