Oh it was a long time ago, but absolutely unforgotten, was this wonderful wedding at Gutshof Unterbessenbach near Aschaffenburg, which I was allowed to photograph quite spontaneously. Nevertheless, I of course do not want to withhold this beautiful day.
When I got up in the morning, I didn’t even know that I would be on the road as a wedding photographer on this day – because the call from my colleague came only in the morning of this day in mid-June. He was ill and could not come to the wedding, the horror for every wedding photographer in and around Aschaffenburg and probably everywhere in the world.

But Laura and Sebastian were lucky: I had time, I had nothing planned, my bag was packed (because I always do that right after a wedding as a precaution, you obviously never know exactly when you will suddenly be called as a wedding photographer) and only two hours after the call from my colleague I was standing at Gutshof Unterbessenbach and looking forward to the wedding ceremony of my favorite colleague, “Trautante“.
What a happy coincidence that we met at this wedding. As a wedding photographer and celebrant, we have always been a well-established team. In the meantime, we have had almost 100 weddings together and I am looking forward to work with her every single time.
Just like here with Laura and Sebastian in the Gutshof Unterbessenbach. The theme of the wedding ceremony by “Trautante” was “diving”.
I am fascinated every time how Friederike Delong comes up with the themes for her wedding ceremonies and then designs them so imaginatively and with the perfect arc of tension, really individually and personally. We will soon have had more than 100 weddings as a wedding photographer and wedding celebrant in and around Aschaffenburg, and of course I know her style and can usually estimate quite well what and how a wedding ceremony with her could look like and yet she always manages to surprise me too. A real recommendation.

After the dive into marriage with a special gas mixture and various preparations so that the dive never has to end, there was champagne in front of the barn of the Gutshof Unterbessenbach and even I as a wedding photographer, who has really seen many beautiful venues around Aschaffenburg, was thrilled by the wedding island, the view of the stately home and the great decorated barn. Everyone involved had really put their hearts into it. Beautiful!

Und nachdem es dann leckeres Essen und viele emotionale Momente gegeben hatten, gab es noch einen Lieblingskollegen im Bunde. DJ Einfach Freddy legte abends auf und riss sprichtwörtlich gemeinsam mit der Hochzeitsgesellschaft die Bude ab. Wie gut, dass es nur ein Sprichwort ist und wir auf das Gutshof Unterbessenbach bei Aschaffenburg auch in Zukunft nicht verzichten müssen. Ich habe mich als Hochzeitsfotograf hier wirklich wohlgefühlt. Und ich wette: Dem Hochzeitspaar ging es genau so. Denn sie strahlten über das ganze Gesicht. Und das nicht nur, weil sie frisch verheiratet waren und den perfekten Hochzeitstag erlebt hatten, sondern vielleicht auch ein wenig, weil sie sich jetzt für immer an diesen emotionalen Tag erinnern können. Dank des Anrufes, der mich morgens als Hochzeitsfotograf bei Aschaffenburg einspringen lies.
And after that there was delicious food and many emotional moments, right before one of my all time favorites entered the stage. “DJ Einfach Freddy” was with me in the evening and put on an insane show together with the wedding party. And all that in this fantastic venue which is the Gutshof Unterbessenbach near Aschaffenburg. I really felt at home here as a wedding photographer. And I bet: The wedding couple felt the same way. Because they were smiling all over their faces. And not only because they were newlyweds and had experienced the perfect wedding day, but maybe also a little bit because they can now remember this emotional day forever.
