If I were a person of superlatives, I would write in this blogpost constantly “incredible!”. But you can just imagine how I disappear as a wedding photographer with open mouth behind my camera and am happy about a great wedding, wonderful photos at Eventzeche Essen, a great bride and groom who smiled from the first moment and at all various superlatives.
Getting ready for a wedding in Essen
And that started already in the morning with the groom at Hotel Astoria in Essen. This excited time in the morning I always enjoy especially, it is THE time that ensures that the wedding couple me and I get to know the wedding couple properly, all participants get used to each other, I as a wedding photographer already know who is who. And if then just to this at weddings always already excited mood still beaming laughter and irrepressible anticipation, then my wedding day is already saved.
Wedding tips for the morning
By the way, here is a tip: I’m not the type of person who says you should consider this or that for the location of the Getting Ready. I just take what is available to me and then just authentically make the most of it. But you will make me very happy if the locations of bride and groom – like Sarah and Daniel, whom I accompanied as a wedding photographer in Essen – are just not eternally far from each other. I would love to drop in on both of you for the Getting Ready, because after all, not only the bride marries herself or something. And so also the groom and his loved ones, like the best man, the parents and so on, have the memories of these very special moments. Yes, even when the guys are preparing something or gambling until the last minute and “only” briefly drink a beer together. These are exactly the perfect moments for me!
Church wedding in the St. Ludgers church in Essen
Sarah and Daniel had a church wedding, so I was first with Daniel, next with Sarah and then with the pastor. Sometimes there are final instructions from the pastor for me before church weddings. Of course, I prefer to just be allowed to do everything, and of course I know how to behave in a church service without a meeting, but many pastors and ministers insist on this short meeting.
Wedding pictures at the Zeche Zollverein
After the wedding ceremony in the church “St. Ludgerus” we went to the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Zeche Zollverein” in Essen and where I spoke at the beginning of the superlatives, you know at the latest with THESE photos what I am talking about.
Wedding celebration at Event Zeche Essen
After the short photo session (I really need only 10 minutes, really!) we went back to the venue “Eventzeche Essen”. A place were the children were children, the guests and the wedding couple celebrated exuberantly and the dance was simply beautiful. That is when the word of “incredible!” comes in my mind. That’s why I keep my mouth shut now and you imagine for yourself how I disappear with open mouth behind my camera.
