Fränkisch-Crumbach wedding photographer: a wedding at Hofgut Rodenstein im Odenwald

28. July 2016

I was able to document my first wedding of the year as a wedding photographer just around the corner: in Fränkisch-Crumbach. That’s really only a stone’s throw from my home in Odenwald.

Sure – it’s great to photograph in places like New York City or Cape Verde. But it’s still nice to be able to fall into your own bed completely exhausted after such an amazing wedding day. Trust me, such a Wedding Hangover (there’s even a technical word for it – funny, right?) is a thousand times more comfortable in your own four walls. But I digress, because today it’s about Katja and Torsten, who celebrated a spring wedding at Hofgut Rodenstein!

Getting Ready with photos from the wedding photographer in Fränkisch-Crumbach

Already in the morning, the two have done everything right. I can only advise every bride and groom to spend the day in one central spot – who likes to sit in the car for hours at their wedding? And also for me as a photographer it is a lot easier not to commute between various locations. That’s why I loved the fact that the bride and groom’s getting ready took place at the venue.

Wedding morning in the hotel of Hofgut Rodenstein in Odenwald

After all, the Hofgut Rodenstein offers not only a barn for the party but also a small hotel where the party can spend the night after the extensive celebration. And it was in exactly these rooms that Katja got into her simple yet elegant wedding dress. Just a few meters away, despite teething problems with the tie, the groom put on his wedding suit. And I as a wedding photographer in Fränkisch-Crumbach was right in the middle of it. There’s no better way to start the day!

It was important for the two of them not to see each other only at the wedding ceremony, but to have a little moment for themselves beforehand to enjoy the day and be able to take a breath before all the hustle and bustle. That’s why the bride and groom had their First Look at Rodenstein Castle – the ruin is only a few meters away from the Hofgut and has a very special charm. Perfect for a little couple shooting before it really started.

Civil wedding at town hall of Fränkisch-Crumbach

After the relaxed morning, it suddenly went blow by blow: the civil wedding of Katja and Torsten was really emotional and the wedding couple were duly welcomed by their guests with confetti and flower girls. And now? The registry office was also within walking distance of the venue and so the wedding party set off to celebrate the wedding couple at Hofgut Rodenstein!

And one thing can be said: already at dinner the guests were in a celebratory mood! Neither wedding games nor the emotional speeches of the families could make a break in the good mood. Katja, Torsten and all their guests celebrated a wonderful wedding until late at night.
