Well, I have to admit to myself – blogging is a rather difficult matter this year. Let me say it this way: it’s not because I don’t feel like it at the moment. But since I’m in the happy situation that I’m fully booked from the end of July until the beginning of October, I simply don’t have the time for it. But today I find it – I was namely on the road as a wedding photographer in Giessen and the pictures I can not simply reserve for you any longer!
Getting Ready with wedding photographer in Giessen
My day started with the “fiery” hair appointment in Giessen, to which the bride, her maid of honor and I drove together. This was really convenient and I could even still document the ride in photos – after all, small moments and spontaneous situations can happen anywhere.
Preparations before the wedding ceremony in Butzbach
Then it was back to the bride and groom’s house: after all, after the hair-and-makeup styling, there was still one important thing missing: the wedding dress – and quite traditionally, a garter. Meanwhile, the groom was already getting ready at the hotel next to the later wedding venue: of course, so that the two of them can’t see each other before the ceremony.
Emotional church wedding in Nieder-Erlenbach
And then it was finally time: the bridal car took us to the upcoming wedding ceremony at the Charlottenburg Protestant Church in Nieder-Erlenbach near Frankfurt. And it was really emotional – even big Steven had a little tear in his eyes when one of the smallest guests showed his skills on the piano – an absolutely magical moment.
Tearful reception with wedding photographer in Gießen
After the ring exchange, the newlyweds were greeted by their friends and colleagues from the German Armed Forces. This wedding tradition I had not known before, but that’s the great thing about my job: every Saturday I get to know new things and people! And not just like here as a wedding photographer in Giessen but at weddings all over the world. I love that!
The wedding venue “Herrenscheune” in Laubach
After the greeting there were countless congratulations as well as a small reception with appetizers at the church. When these were eaten, the complete party drove to the last place of the day: the wedding venue “Herrenscheune” in Laubach near Giessen.
Wedding games and bouquet toss in Giessen
After countless interludes by the guests, including the pinata, the bridal bouquet toss and the cutting of the wedding cake, the time had come for the first dance and the subsequent party! It was amazing how much not only the bride and groom, but also their guests partied. I love days like that!
