“No one person can feel that much without exploding.“ (Ron) And guess what? Not everyone can have a wealth of emotions that fits on a teaspoon… so it’s good when love actually explodes! Best in a wonderful nerdy wedding in Mainz with Harry Potter, water guns and freestyle dancing in the evening, but completely without alcohol.
It was amazing for me to be document the nerdy wedding of A-C and Julian at Feierscheier in Mainz as a wedding photographer. With the very best, almost TOO hot weather in Mainz, Wiesbaden and surrounding areas, synapses really popped at this thoughtful wedding with attention to detail. Everything done right!
Getting Ready with wedding photographer in Mainz
I met A-C and Julian at the Getting Ready at their home in their own four walls. And they did it together. Because they really took seriously what I always tell as a wedding photographer: Just be yourselves!
And so the Getting Ready was already full of fun and love that I was already able to ramp up to full speed as a wedding photographer at this very relaxed wedding in Mainz. Perfect!
Wedding ceremony with Trautante at Feierscheier am Turm
The love for Harry Potter connects the wedding couple and me. And also the Trautante Friederike, who conducted the wedding ceremony at Feierscheier in Mainz, can and must not hide when it comes to magic tricks and love for the magical universe. We would all distance ourselves clearly (!) from the author, but to celebrate a great wedding, which fits in all corners to Hogwarts or in the foxhole, you do not have to like the author or support her in any way.
And so it was exactly what ran through the wedding the whole day: the love for each other and the love for the nerdy fandom 😀

Already the invitation had been a self-made Marauder’s Map, the entrance of the groom was a hunt on the broom for the snitch and during the wedding ceremony with Friederike all sorts of glittering magic potions were mixed! And sure, the other preferences of these two nerds also found their way into the wedding ceremony. From game characters at League of Legends to Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! this wedding in Mainz really had it all. It was a blast for me as the wedding photographer and the celebrant!
So the marriage of A-C and Julian was then sealed with an unbreakable oath, sock puppets of the family brought in traditions and thanks to the scorching heat at this hot summer wedding in Mainz, the afternoon degenerated now and then we had a little water pistol fight. Why not?! Especially if the wedding photographer loves it as much as they do: more of it, please! And never forget: Just get married the way you are and the way it suits you!

And if you do everything right and the wedding party then is in love with one of its last highlights on the dance floor in the evening, then you will also find me there. Dancing. Of course with the camera in my hand 😀
And by the way, even if there is no alcohol at your wedding, as here with A-C and Julian in Mainz, which I was documenting as a wedding photographer. Because as you can see, that did absolutely no harm to the party.

No matter where I have been as a wedding photographer, whether far away with Virginia or New York, very close with weddings in Mainz and Wiesbaden (when I still lived there) or just anywhere: The best weddings were always the ones where the wedding couple did their thing, even against the small and big resistance of the guests. Just like here A-C and Julian at Feierscheier in Mainz with Harry Potter, and nerd stuff everywhere, without alcohol and with loud guests in their favorite feel-good and character outfits. And let me tell you: it was more than worth it. Because I can’t say it enough: It was a (wedding) blast for me!
