Very close to Heidelberg and Mannheim in the beautiful Rhine-Neckar area is Weinheim. And as a wedding photographer I can only say this: In Weinheim you can get married wonderfully! Just like Raïna and Dirk did.
In the morning it started as so often with the getting ready of the bride. I can’t say it often enough, for me as a wedding photographer, these hours before the actual wedding celebration are simply golden: because you and me can calmly adjust to the day together, get to know and get used to each other. I love it! This is also one of the reasons I can say as a wedding photographer in Weinheim: “I will gladly photograph your whole day”. With me, there are no hourly packages or anything like that: When you start, I’ll start as well! So I can not only really capture every emotional moment of the day, I can also really tell a whole stories. After all, your wedding day is something very special and you deserve to be able to remember the whole wonderful day later. And as a wedding photographer in and around Weinheim with more than a few weddings under my belt, I’m telling you: You’ll be so pumped with adrenaline on your wedding day that it will blurred together and be over SOOOO quickly… that’s way it’s good to be able to review everything later. And I, as a wedding photographer, can’t imagine a better, more personal and closer way than to be part of the Getting Ready.

Getting Ready at “Verschönerei” and NH Hotel in Weinheim
And so Raïna and I have met each other at “Verschönerei” in Weinheim and I was allowed to witness how the excited bride got her dress and make up on.
After the guests were shuttled from the NH Hotel Breslauer Straße/Weinheim and the Fuchs’schen Mühle in Weinheim to the city, the beautiful ceremony took place at “Peterskirche”. Really, the Peterskirche in Weinheim is such a great place to get married for me as a wedding photographer. Really really beautiful!

Reception with wedding photographer in Weinheim
Without a reception in front of “Peterskirche“, we went directly to the Wachenburg in Weinheim. That is where the congratulations where happening. So the wedding couple had a moment for themselves after this highly emotional moment during the church wedding. Not a bad idea at all, even if it is a little unusual. Taking a deep breath is really important on the wedding day!
But of course, the champagne reception wasn’t completely cancelled. So, at Wachenburg Castle, I found myself among a lot of congratulating, joyful wedding guests, and I’m really glad that I have routine as a wedding photographer, so I was able to capture some really nice moments. A caricaturist and a bouncy castle do not hurt there of course at all 😉
And look at the insane atmosphere! Already at the reception in front of the wedding venue in Weinheim, there was singing, dancing and laughing. A good starter for the party evening.

Dinner at the castle at Bergstrasse
But of course, first a foundation had to be laid. That had to be done with good food, but of course also with speeches and small interludes. And here is another little tip from me as a wedding photographer: Please remember that on such a long wedding day I need something to eat and now or later a little break. There it is the best, if you reserve me a seat in the venue, from which I have a good position and see everything but also can eat the meal. I will not photograph during the dinner anyways. Because seriously, who wants to be photographed while eating?!
But you don’t have to worry: Of course, as a wedding photographer, I get to see everything from the food, the decorations and everything that’s going on in the venue when I sit with your guests and am simply be part of the action. So I can not miss anything, even if quite spontaneously exciting things happen. I am right there as your wedding photographer if anything is happening!

Wedding party at Wachenburg in Weinheim
And please, an urgent appeal: Remember this tip even if your wedding venue, whether in Weinheim or elsewhere, claims that service providers always eat somewhere else and get a different meal. This really hinders me as a wedding photographer and my work. Fortunately, the Wachenburg in Weinheim did not even make such attempts. Perfect! Otherwise, I might have missed the emotional speech of the father of the bride. And that would have been a shame!
And then, yes then, we celebrated. And as you can see from the photos: This wedding party really deserves its name. And, how should your party look like? I’m already looking forward to seeing you!
